Stacksteads Country Park

On behalf of Stacksteads Countryside Park group I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at the station that has supported us in so many ways.

As a charity we rely heavily on fundraising and the station have on a regular basis made an appeal on air for people to donate used jars to enable us to use them for sweet jars at local markets. The station was used as a drop off and storage point for the jars and we were very successful with our stalls enabling us to raise valuable funds.

The station have interviewed people from our organisation and as a result, people have become more aware of what we do and therefore helped us grow as a group.

Each year members of the station attend and promote our very successful lantern parade held every October. 

The station has helped us to reach our aims as a group to connect our community and provide better facilities for residents in the area

We look forward to continuing our great community partnership.
