Millennium Blinds are excited to enter the upcoming blind automation market, being one of the first companies in Lancashire to offer motorised, voice controlled and mobile application features.

Do you want the added security of being able to open/close your blinds from a touch of a button anywhere in the world? The safety of having a completely cordless blind with little ones around? Or simply just want to impress friends by asking Alexa to open your blinds. If yes, then our motorised blinds are the answer to a revolution in smart home technology.

The Remote - Once your motorised blinds have been installed, you will have use of the new 15-channel remote (operates up to 15 blinds!). This is a great way to control either each individual blind to suit, or all motorised blinds at once. The remote comes with a magnetic wall mount, so can be manoeuvred around the house or in a set position on the wall.

The Mobile Application - Via our friends at HomeWizard, we can offer a mobile application feature which allows you to add all your motorised blinds onto one home screen. The application allows you to set times for blinds to open/close, which after setup requires no action at all! Additionally, you can set the app to operate the blinds in accordance with real time sunset and sunrise, a perfect way to wake the kids up in a morning! Take pictures of each blind and customise the usage of your application. As long as you are connected to WiFi or 4G, you can operate your blinds whilst sipping cocktails in the Bahamas! The application can be set up on both android & apple and can be used on as many mobiles/tablets as you wish. Once the application is up and running you can add further electronics such as lights & doors.

Voice Control - With Alexa becoming a common household product, many find the ease of operating electronics via voice command. The same applies with window blinds, which can be difficult to operate manually for those with less accessibility. Alexa can be set to open your blinds in a morning whilst giving you the morning news, or the days weather report, all from the comfort of your bed! Motorised blinds can be installed on existing Rollers, Romans and Z-Lites, so if you have already bought a chain-operated blind from us, do not worry you can still upgrade! Mobile application setup requires working WiFi.
