Stackstead Band Christmas Appeal

A band is for life and not for just Christmas! And we need your support!
2020 has been a really truly unprecedented year for us all and we’ve all faced many challenges over the last 10 months. The Covid-19 virus has sadly meant that all rehearsals, concerts and music events have had to stop throughout this year. The last time the Band played together was early March and we haven’t been able to rehearse or perform since. This has been extremely difficult for our players and our supporters, who attend our many concerts throughout the year.
As you will be aware, Stacksteads Band is a not for profit organisation, the money we raise through concert work and donations enables your local Band to continue. Without this vital income and the generosity of our supporters the Band will be unable to continue to operate – our band room on Newchurch Road requires significant renovation, our utility bills still need to be paid and the upkeep and repair of our many instruments is still a necessity.
The Christmas period is a really important time for our Band, not only is it a time when we share the joy of live music with our friends, supporters and communities, it is a time of year when the Band generates the majority of its income through generous donations from you, our supporters. This Christmas, we are unable to take to the streets, supermarkets, Christmas Fairs or pubs to spread the joy of Christmas music – instead, to keep our players and you, our wonderful supporters safe, the Band will be staying at home. However, we still need your support.
If you can spare the few pounds that you would normally throw into our collection buckets, we would be delighted and you can do so via this GoFundMe page. All the money raised will go directly to the Band, ensuring Stacksteads Band continues to thrive throughout 2021 and beyond.
We can’t thank you enough for your support and on behalf of the Band we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and healthy, and prosperous New Year.
