Washer & Dryer for Salford Royal Hospital
Target: £1000
Donate: Just Giving
Jessica Smith is looking to raise £1,000 to help fund a new washing machine and dryer for H8 (Intestinal Failure Unit) at Salford Royal Hospital

The Salford Royal Intestinal Failure Unit (H8), is a specialist centre providing exceptional care to patients with severe intestinal conditions in the UK. The majority of the patients are there for long periods of time, and are readmitted regularly. The members of staff become really good friends with all patients and build a special rapport with them all. During non covid times, they enable family to stay past visiting hours and even set up a kitchen and laundry room for the patients so it feels like a home away from home.
However, their washing machine and dryer have broken and don’t have the funds at the minute to purchase a new one. Due to Covid, the patients are unable to have visitors so can’t get their clothes washed. Jessica has set up this page on behalf of her step-mum (who is currently a patient on H8 and is awaiting surgery), and for the staff members so that they are able to continue to provide the fantastic service that they already give.
